So sad to lose a legend. I´ve been listening to him since I remember, and I´m only 23 lol, my mom died when I was 6 and I decided to play roses for mama at her funeral.

My condolences.

My late mom and I were living in Chadron, NE in the early to mid-70s. We dearly loved the Old Home commercials. I bought his Wolf Creek Pass 8-track and then the other tapes/cassettes he put out. She and I took 2 vacations to the Durango/Silverton/Ouray areas in 1986 and 1992 because of his songs about the train, mines, roads, mountains,etc. In 1986 we were able to attend a slide show with his music at the old Oprah House in Ouray and got to me him as he greeted people entering and...

Remember hearing the song "Convoy" on the radio on country music show when I lived in Maine.

Rest in Peace Bill, You have been one of my favorites for a very long time!
