I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr Swart. I was a memeber of GHS's band from 1979-1982. He was a wonderful band director, and it showed each time we performed. My fondiest memories of high school were times spent in band at Gretna High. My thoughts and prayers are with his family

Dear Swart Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I had the wonderful privilege along with my sister Peggy of being a student of Mr. Swart. I learned the great gift of music through him, that I have enjoyed throughout my life. His discipline brought out the best in us. I appreciated his high standards which though challenging at times, have served me well in life. We were award winning.

At this time of your loss I offer my deepest condolences to you and your family. I have fond memories of your Grandfather while we both attended GHS. He was a wonderful man with a wonderful spirit. so well my first year at Gretna (8th grade). I was in his

Mrs. Swart and family,I am sorry to hear about Mr. Swart's passing. When I was at GHS, he was an integral part of the school. I'm sure that he will be sorely missed in the school community. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

We were so sorry to hear about Cal's passing. He was the best band director I have ever known. He will be missed by many. So sorry we can't be there for your family, but you will be in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
