Not sure what to say?

Dr.Bowen was a legacy that truly gave back to his community ! What a privilege it was to know him. Stanly county was truly blessed to have him "give back!" He truly gave the meaning to giving !

Rest in Peace to a Marvelous Optimist. Heaven shines brighter with Carl's Smiling Face. He truly was a special man... from the Best Generation of Veterans and in all of Optimist International. He will be missed.

My prayers are with the Bowen family. Dr. Carl be missed by every optimist that he touch. He was a fellow Marine. God bless the family

My prayers are with the Bowen family. I was fortunate enough to become involved in the Optimist movement in 1980. I count it one of the greatest privileges in my life to have come under Dr. Bowen's guidance. With his guidance and counsel, I was able to move into the highest levels of the Optimist organization. Most of all, I was privileged to become a part of his golfing group at Optimist District functions. He and my dad were born only months apart and that made him even the more special....

Carl's devotion to the Optimist Organization can only be matched by the big smile Carl always had on his face. May God's love and blessings be with everyone who knew Carl!

God rest the soul of this brave WWII veteran.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

I was in the New Hope Optimist Club with Dr Bowen. He never missed a meeting and he always had a smile on his face. One only needs to look at his obituary to see just how dedicated he was to volunteering. Truly a great man. God Bless the family.
