My condolences to the family! I knew Mr. Furuta from my days running a local so cal film studio. He was the consummate professional, a real character and a true artist. Being a Sansei, I naturally looked up to him, but I also learned a few things hanging around the stage when he prepped for a shot...not just about photography, but about dealing with clients and crew.
