Sheldon T Banks Funeral Chapel - Flint Obituary

TACKETT, Mr. Carl-age 68, of Flint, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital. Memorial services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507.

Carl Tackett was born to the late Roman Adams and Edith Marie Tackett on January 19, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee. Memphis was the place where he would attend Booker T. Washington High School and later acquire medical training. Carl had an intense love for Jehovah. He also loved to spend quality time amongst family and friends where you could often find him dancing, rhyming or playing dominos. On a trip to Memphis, he out danced everyone on the dance floor and was named one of the B.B King Steppers.

If you knew Carl, you also knew he loved to eat. He had many favorite dishes, Carenda's banana pudding popcorn and Tamika's Lasagna were amongst his favorites. As Carl's health started to decline, he would be lovingly cared for by his sister, Paula. He enjoyed dancing with his favorite dance partner Jessica. Carl will truly be missed.

Carl leaved to cherish his memory: daughters, Carenda (Reginald) Wilson, Tamika Hurt and Rhonda Bausley; 1 son, DeCarlos (Vakela) Bausley of Memphis, TN; brother, Melvin Tackett of Flint, MI; sisters, Ella Fergerson and Linda Jones both of Detroit, MI, Paula Tackett-Seay and Jessica Tackett both of Flint, MI; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Carl was preceded in death by: brother, Larry Tackett.

The family of Carl Tackett would like to express their heart felt appreciation and gratitude for your prayers, comforting thoughts, concerns and support in their time of need.
