Not sure what to say?

Carlene was my voice teacher (and also taught several of my siblings) for a majority of the 1970s in Greendale. Besides being an excellent teacher, I found her to be such a smart and interesting person. She had a unique way of encouraging and supporting me. I've lost touch with her over the years, but her imprint on my life and on my continuing love of music certainly remains. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

My condolences to the entire family of dear Carlene. We were friends for so many years. Although not frequently through the years, when we made contact, it was always like yesterday, ready to share our thoughts and lives with one another. She was a rare and gifted person who added so much to all she met. May Carlene be forever embraced in God's loving grace.

My daughter Yvonne was a voice pupil with Carlene for many years from teen years into adulthood.
I remember a great trip to Chicago with my daughter, Carlene, and a friend of hers.
We went to hear Kiri TeKanewa sing.

God Bless you Carlene

Carlene touched so many lives through her generous service to Milwaukee Opera Theatre. We are deeply grateful that she was part of our organization.

Dear Family of Carlene,

I have known Carlene for many years. She was a lovely person, and a great mentor for me when we taught voice together at Carroll College. She was very helpful and kind.
She will be greatly missed.
In Sympathy,
Sally Schwarz

Carlene was a dear friend who enriched our lives with her knowledge and insight. She will be missed by all.

Carlene has been my friend and coffee companion every Thursday for a number of years. I will miss her humor, intelligence and good sense over the years I have left. She can rest knowing that so many have been influenced and guided by her.

I had coffee with Carlene 2 days a week, she will be missed.
Carlene had such a great outlook on life, and put so much of herself
Into everything she did. She made my life better.
Charlotte Van Wert.
