Not sure what to say?

We always enjoyed the time of the year when Carmela and Sam visited Los Angeles. We have cherished memories of many great times together – from trips to Las Vegas and San Diego, to simple afternoons for lunch and a movie, and of course, the great meals at Eddie and Sally’s (Carmela made the best meatballs!)

We will miss her very much.

All our love,
Harry and Monette

Carmela there was no one quite like you.Your smile was contagious your kindness immense. An angel on earth and now in heaven.Your memory lives on in each one of the lives you have touched and your good heart and kindness is an example to us all.I will truly miss you, but I will never forget you. My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire family. May Carmela's memory live on inside each one of you.

Mom,

It is so sad to say goodbye, but I guess God decided you had done enough good in this world and it was time to be in a better place.

I realized so much during your final days and your wake and funeral. You brought and spread so much love and caring in our family. Every one came to see you, bringing together all those people who were around us growing up. Cousins, family friends, many we hadn't seen in years. You brought together some family members who...

Dear Grandma, I just want to thank you for being the most wonderful grandmother that seven kids could ever have. If I think hard enough I can probably remember everyday spent with you whether it was just me or all 7 of us at a family party. It feels like just yesturday that we used to find a shady spot on summer afternoons in the driveway on 77th street to just sit and wait for my father to come home from work. Also all the times you would buy out the ice cream man of my favorite type of ice...

Dear Nannie,
Wow where to start. Nannie, i will always remember going to your house, having a huge meal, eating some of your homemade foccacia bread or seven layer cookies, talking, and no matter how full we were, always slicing us up some pieces of cantelope. The times that we went to California with our family and going to Uncle Eddies and Aunt Sally's house were the best. I'll always hold the Hess trucks that you and Grandpa Sam gave me every Christmas very close to my heart. It...

Nannie-
Where do I start? Last year when we went to Italy, was and always will be the most memorable trip of my entire life. Exploring Italy with you was truly an once-in-a-lifetime experience. Seeing you cry when the Pope gave mass at The Vatican will be a sight that I will remember for the rest of my life. I didn’t want to leave this past August to go to Italy because all I could think was- "What will be happening with Nannie?" When I was over there and used to call you, every time...

Dear Carmela: There are enough words to describe the kind of mother-in-law you've been to me. I've known you since I was 11 years old and you have always been wonderful and loving to me. I know that I have another guardian angel up in heaven looking over me and your grandchildren.
You are truly an angel and your spirit will live on through your family.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being in my life. I will miss you everyday and pray to you.
Love, your...

To My Dear Aunt & Godmother,
When my own parents died and I needed a shoulder to cry on it was you I went to, you never turned me away.I carry those memories with me everyday. I will love you and pray for you every day of my life. You were truly one of a kind. I was so blessed to have you not only for my "Aunt" but my "Godmother" too. You touched my husband's heart as well. Last night he told me Sunday's will never be the same. We LOVE You Dear Aunt.

This is the speech I said at my nanny's funeral mass...we love and miss you every day nanny...may you look over us, our guardian angel. <3

I'm up here today to speak to you about my beloved nanny, and the impact she had on everyone's lives, especially her grandchildren. She would give the world to see her grandchildren smile, whether it was a card on thanksgiving, Halloween or birthday, or a Hess truck for Christmas for her grandsons, it was all about us all the time. I remember...
