On Thursday, October 14, 2021, loving sister and aunt, Carol T. Donohue passed away peacefully at her home on Camano Island, WA. She was 85 years of age.


Carol was born on October 3, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York to Mildred and Herbert Donohue. Carol was preceded in Death by her parents Mildred and Herbert Donohue, her sister Joan Knight (Lee Knight) and brother Gordon Donohue. She is survived by her Sister - Barbara Gibson (Bryon) and Brother - Gerald Donohue (Regina). She is also survived by her nieces – Wendy Fiore (Andrew), Gabby Wolf (Rick), Heidi Elmaarouf (Kareem), Danielle Milone (Joe), Tracy Douglas (Mike) and nephews - Gerald Donohue (Clara), Peter Knight (Amy), Barry Knight, Evan Knight, Jeff Knight (Eika), and several great nieces & nephews.


Carol had a long and illustrious career with the Hong Kong Shanghai Bank. She started as a secretary right out of high school. Through the years she progressed through the corporation and retired as a Senior Vice President of Human Resources / Personnel.


During her employ with HSBC she traveled throughout the world, including studying in Hong Kong on HSBC Banking Rules.


Carol had a passion for the theater, museums, nice cars and travel. Keeping up on all of the lives and adventures of her family kept her fulfilled and happy.


She was known for her sarcasm and wit. She will be remembered for her caring and generous heart.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you give donations to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, as this charity was dear to her heart.


A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on October 27, 2021 at Gilbertson Funeral Home 27001 88th Avenue NW. Stanwood, WA 98292-1569.
