Not sure what to say?

We miss you Carol. Still seems so surreal not having you with us. I keep expecting the phone to ring as you 'check in on us' or ask me how to cook something or tell me a show on TV Rob or I should watch, or stop by with treats for our pets. Our holidays just won't be the same without you.

Carol also left a Brother, Dr. Peter Bankart and a sister-in-law Dr. Brenda Bankart of Calais, VT; and a nephew, Dr. Charlie Bankart of Lawrence Kansas.Anyone interested can contact Peter at riverotter267@gmail.com

A tremendous friend, tremendous professional, and a tremendous colleague. Carol will be missed.

Carol was so unique and I feel grateful that she became part of our family. I will miss her joining me in wearing pajamas at every holiday meal.
Her love of animals was inspiring and I know Moxie, CharChar and Lizzie will miss her and her treats.
Rest in peace, Carol.

I'm sorry to hear of Carol's passing. We talked to each other a lot in the pool at the Y in Bangor over the years, mostly about our dogs. She loved those basset hounds of hers.

Carol was one of my favorite people. She helped me so much when she was president of the board of directors and I was exective director of Wellspring. She will be greatly missed.

Her heart was big and she loved to teach. I know her work will bear fruit in better labor relations, better animal care and in the successful developement of all. Bless you Carol for giving to others so freely.

Dr. Gilmore was my professor at the University of Maine for two semesters. I am saddened by this news. My sympathies to all those who were close to her.

Dear Dr. Gilmore....For nearly 65 years, many have called me a lifelong student. Along that journey I had the good fortune to have you as a professor in UMaine's MBA program. I took every class you taught and they were some of my highlight experiences at UMaine. I must say you were the most enjoyable, progressive, endearing teacher/ professor I've ever had, and I've had many good ones along life's path. You were exceptional and I learned so very much from you. I enjoyed your classes...
