Carol Ann Stricklin

I met Carol 2 years ago when she needed a 4th to play cornhole. I said I did not know how to play. She said we will teach you. I have been playing ever since. Even joined with Carol and her cornhole group to play regularly on Tuesdays at Linda Kerley Senior Center. We will greatly miss Carol on Tuesdays. I will never forget her kindness and her contagious laughter. May you enjoy all of your precious memories as time goes by. I will surely enjoy mine. I am praying for your family and wishing you peace during this time.

A great inspiration to all the many Senior Olympic athletes for so many years. She could "do" any of the myriad of sports offered - from basketball to pickleball. We first met her in about 2001 when she played my wife Mary in racquetball at the Memphis District Games. Carol gave it all she had in every event she participated in. In her match with Mary she went for a ball and ended up with a bad cut near her eye - which she got stitched up in time for the closing ceremonies. We were friends...

I will forever have love and remember Carol for her compassion, love, energy and fighting spirit. Her favorite word was JOY-- and it was in everything she did.

Aunt Carol had the greatest spirit and strength. I will always remember her fondly.

Aunt Carol was a warrior. She will be missed by so many.
