Caroline Merritt Johnston

A belated condolence message, but I just "stumbled" upon the obituary of Caroline. My connection to Caroline goes back to 1947 when I, stationed at the Naval Air Base in Corpus Christi, met her at the USO where she was a volunteer. She and her family had recently moved from Centralia, Illinois to Corpus Christi. I am so saddened to hear of this news (albeit delayed--received her Christmas card back). I met Caroline when I was working at the University Catholic Center, and she truly was a gem.
