Not sure what to say?

The first thing I thought when I heard that Aunt Pete went home to the Lord, is "oh I bet uncle Merle will be so glad to see his bride". I had to smile because I remember how he told me he met her and how much he loved her.

I miss summers swimming in their pool, but oh so thankful for the memories and for the love that Aunt Pete always showed me.

Mrs Davis was so good with us kids back in the 60's. As a kid I would stay at their house and she would keep Jack and I on the straight and narrow. Such a gentle lady. Thinking of Jack and all the family.

My thoughts are with the Family at this time. I have very fond memories of Marie and Merle. They were a joy to know.

Looking back, Marie was one of the first St. John Vianney parishioners we met. She was a remarkable women who appreciated the earth and everything on it. We often marveled at her sense of humor which, along with a strong spirit, she kept to the end. Marie had experienced a life of providing for her loved ones, and yet remained ever grateful for her long, productive life.

Blessings,

Dear Davis Family: I will miss seeing your mom at Saturday afternoon mass at SJV when I was back home for a visit. I would always tell her about any Shrine of the Little Flower (Royal Oak, Michigan) news I may have heard since the previous time I had seen her. She was a very nice person and you are blessed to have her in good health for many years. I will place her name on the tomb of Venerable Solanus Casey, OFM Cap. in Detroit.

Barb, Bob, Tom, Jack and all,

My deepest sympathy for your loss! I am so saddened! Not only was your mom, my Aunt "Pete", she was also my Godmother. As I was growing up she was an inspiration to me in so many ways. So full of life, love, humor, generosity, & strength. I know she will be greatly missed by you all, and so, so many others! May you find comfort in knowing that she is now a true angel with God.
Love and prayers,

Your Mother, Grandmother, was the sweetest ladies we have ever known. Any time we visited St. John Vianney for Mass and she was in attendance, she would always call us by name and tell us how happy she was to see us and how wonderful we looked. If she ever complained it was never when we were visiting with her. What beautiful memories we will always have of her. God Bless Marie and all of you as you live your lives without your Dear Mother.

Barb, Bob, Tom, Jack and family,
Sending love from Michigan to all of you. We loved Aunt "Pete" so much. She was such a true delight whenever she visited and it was always SO nice to see her. I know she was a big part in everyone's lives and a blessing to all. She will be missed so very much. God Bless you all.

God bless all the family at this time.
