Not sure what to say?

May God comfort you during this difficult time. She will be truly missed.

Cathey was a wonderful friend and confidante to me in our 2 short years at RJR. We shared many things - Agape Club, Anchor Club, a Senior beach trip...mostly remembered for our futile attempts to gain weight....I have fond memories of visiting her and her dear family on Sylvan Rd...I can't believe that all three of them are gone. It makes me sad. Rest in peace, my friend.

I will always remember Cathey from our school years and the exuberance that surrounded her. May she rest in peace.

I went to school with Cathey at Paisley in 9th and 10th, and then RJR, and onward at Davidson College. After graduation, we both returned to Winston-Salem for a few years for our first jobs. Cathey always made time to counsel her friends and gave of herself -- a truly cherished soul. She threw some fabulous post-college parties at her home and was painstaking in making sure everyone mingled and was comfortable given the variety of people she was endeared too. Sadly, time passed after I...

I think I met Cathey in first grade at Whitaker. I don't every remember anything but a smile on her face. I'm sorry I missed our later years in school togetheras friends. From all these wonderful comments, it sounds like I missed out on a beautiful friendship. May peace be with her family.

The only class Cathey and I ever shared was AP Spanish Literature at the Career Center during her senior year at RJR. The classroom chairs were arranged like three sides of a rectangle, and her regular seat was exactly in the middle of that squared horseshoe … affording her opportunity for maximum impact on every classmate, as well as the teacher standing directly in front of her. Normally Cathey was smiling and excitedly punctuated her words with hand motions … but when she became still and...

I only knew Cathey at RJR but I have the fondest memories of her and our times together. She was a delight to be around, and was a true, sweet individual, seemingly unspotted from the world.

Although I did not know Cathey very well, I'll always remember her megawatt smile and the way she made people feel welcome. May she rest in peace and lay her burdens down.

There was no one like Cathey, so bright, quick-witted, and always fun to be around. I'll always remember how we spoke Spanish when wanting to keep conversations private, and how we got busted once by a Spanish-speaking woman at a nearby table. And Cathey was the best mimic around. Stylish, she was always perfectly put together, even in elementary school. I take comfort in the knowledge that she's now blissful and free. Love you, Cathey!
