Cathy Brown, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all, went to her Lord on Wednesday.


She was with the love of her life, husband Johnny Brown, by her side.


Cathy passed away on March 24, 2020. She was born on Feb. 11, 1955.


Cathy was a beautiful person who was filled with positive energy and was a friend to all. She loved to travel and see her beautiful country and world, making cherished memories.


She was a longtime member of Hill Creek Baptist Church of Whitehouse.


Cathy is survived by her husband Johnny Brown, Whitehouse; sister Kay Watson and husband Clint, New Braunfels; brother Mike Carpenter, Whitehouse; niece Kelsi Gilbreath, Austin; nephew Chad Gilbreath, Jacksonville; and numerous friends and love ones.


Cathy is preceded in death by her daughter Lynn Hanes, father Max Carpenter, mother Frances Dwire, brother Kenny Carpenter, stepfather Gene Dwire, mother-in-law Abilene Brown. 


Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit. 


Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2021 at Hill Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Tyler Memorial Park on Highway 64 West.


In lieu of flowers donations in Cathy's memory may be made to Hospice of East Texas, Shriners Children's Hospitals or Hill Creek Baptist Church of Whitehouse.

I will always remember Cathy with a huge smile and welcoming eyes. She will always be a great memory to me as a caring, loving and true friend. She always went the extra mile in every situation she was involved in. You are in our thoughts and prayers Johnny. May the Lord Bless and keep you in all you do.

Jon and I both will so miss Cathy's sweet smile and hugs! She brightened my day every time I talked to her. When I think of her, I will always smile because I know she's at peace and is watching over Johnny and all of her loved ones. God Bless her soul and prayers for Johnny and her family.

Cathy will be sorely missed in all circles of life. She was truly a beautiful person to call friend. She always had a smile & hug for you. She worked hard at everything she did, had strong faith, courage, best hostess, loved to travel, never met a stranger, loving & supporting of Johnny in all his endeavours. Go REST high on that mountain my sister in Christ ! We'll meet again one day.

We were childhood friends and grew up together. She was a wonderful person and always full of energy. I will miss her very much. Prayers for all her family especially her husband Johnny.

I’m so sorry to hear of Cathy’s passing. I worked with Cathy since she began at ETMC and she was truly a wonderful person. She was a strong woman to endure the challenges that life sent her way. We became good friends. She and Johnny were so happy and enjoyed life together. I will always have fond memories and someday will see her in heaven.

Cathy, I was Blessed to have you as a friend. Johnny, I pray that God will hold you in his arms and comfort you.
