Not sure what to say?

"Oh,my gosh!" When Ced announced his retirement from CDG, I was tempted to give him a box of purple pencils inscribed with that legend. He was forever the good-natured trainer of rookie oarts listers, jokingly intoning, "oh, my gosh!" whenever he discovered an error. It was in his honor that I renamed the Pink Pal pencil eraser the "Gosh". I will miss him forever.

I knew Ced as my instructor when I went to work for Continental Data Graphics' Boeing 777 project in 1997. My strongest and fondest memory of him involves his use of purple pencils to correct his students' mistakes on their component breakdowns. "Oh, my gosh!" he would intone with feigned woe, as he marked the various errors. I came to refer to erasers as "goshes", writing on my own Pink Pearl eraser his signature phrase, "Oh, my gosh!"

I had intended to present him, on the occasion...

Uncle Sonny
I/We will all miss you so very much, especially at all the family gatherings, and holidays. You were such a special person in so many peoples lives. We were blessed to have shared so many good times together, and will never forget how much we will miss them all in the future. You will always be there in spirit.
Your Nephew, Rusty

I have to say, those six short weeks in Ced's class was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. His legacy will continue to inspire and bring out the best in us.

Ced was an influential person in my life. I was a young, new immigrant and CED was my first 'boss'. Just like many others, he was my Parts Compiling instructor. The class was comprised of mostly male and there were only 2 female students. Although the other female was already a CDG employee, she was very shy and reserve. The class group was very competitive. Ced taught us well but most of all encouraged us all to thrive and shine. He was truly a very special, warm and caring person. ...

It was a real pleasure to have known Ced. He was an important part of my introduction to CDG and I'll remember it forever. To all his family, my condolences.

Ced Durst was an amazing man. I first met Ced at CDG and immediately liked him. He was a funny, warm, caring man who will be missed by all that knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Ced was my Parts Compiling instructor so I was glad to be able to teach two consecutive training classes while he was doing the same thing across the hall. I was new to training and he gave me confidence that I would do just fine.

My fondest memory of him when he trained my class was his phrase "Everything is OK, but erase everything below your name." It was his own way of bringing you down easily after thinking you had just aced an exercise. In reality, you had to start all over...

Deepest sympothy, Ced will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless.
