Charlcie Belle Nichols, age 85, of Lamar, died Thursday, April 12, 2018, at her home. She was born December 3, 1932, in Lamar to Harvey Lawrence and Hattie Inez Carter Duff. She was a member of Knoxville First Baptist Church since 1965, as well as a member of the Women's Fellowship class. She enjoyed sitting on her porch, reading the paper and watching her hummingbirds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe David Nichols; and a son, Mike Nichols, and a daughter-in-law, Denise Nichols. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Sharon Nichols, of Russellville; a daughter and son-in-law, Maxine and Dwain Melson, of Lamar; a daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Nichols, of Lamar; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Wendy Duff of Lamar, and James and Sue Duff, of Clarksville; one sister, Lois Justine Nichols, of Knoxville; six grandchildren, David Nichols, Chris Melson, Joe Melson and his fiancée, Ashley Zamora, Jacquelyn Sykes, Melissa Nichols, Bailey and her husband, Bryan Ketchum; two great-grandchildren, Bryce McRea and Bryley Ketchum; and some very special friends, Nina Cromer, and Ronnie and Teresa Zachery, along with many other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Knoxville First Baptist Church, with Pastor Richard Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Lamar Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. We're sorry to hear about Charlie's passing. She was a wonderful ladies and a dear friend of ours. We enjoyed worshipping with her while we were at Lamar Baptist Church several years ago. You all are in our prayers.

I sit here three days later, still can not believe your gone. My sweet grandma Charlcie my secret keeper, lady i admired to be like. I will miss the long phone calls, the belly laughs, the sweet memories. I will never go a day without seeing your face etched in my brain. This has been as hard when momma died.
