Charleen “Charlie” R. Snow (also known as Charles Donald Arceneaux) passed away on October 21, 2019 at the age of 73, in Melbourne, Florida. Charleen was born April 19, 1946 in Palo Alto, California. She was the second daughter of Evalyn and Edgar Arceneaux. She grew up in the Bay Area, California, Lakehurst, New Jersey and Lafayette, Louisiana. She served two tours as an Army combat photographer in the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1967. She received her undergraduate from USL in Computer Science in 1969, a master’s in computer science at BYU in 70 and pursued post graduate studies in Artificial Intelligence. In 1972, she joined the Air Force working as a navigator, finishing her career as a Captain in 1978.
She worked many years as a technical writer for the VA hospital and retired to Coco Beach Florida in 2012.She enjoyed a variety of hobbies over her life including coin making and collecting, sci-fi book collecting, pottery, art glass design, watercolors, wildlife photography, and was a media enthusiast. She spent the last few years highly involved with her local LDS ward, the Red Hat Society and volunteered in many democratic candidates races locally and nationwide.
Charleen was preceded in death by Maureen Arceneaux, John Arceneaux, Christine Arceneaux, Evalyn Arceneaux, Edgar Arceneaux and June Robertson. Charleen is survived by Diane Arceneaux, John Arceneaux, Martin Arceneaux, David Arceneaux, Aimee (Tom) Marsh, Catharine Arceneaux, Alec Arceneaux, Benjamin Marsh, Grace Marsh, Seth Marsh, and Vivianne Marsh.
Service at 11:00 AM followed by military internment at 12:00 PM in the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park Chapel, 17111 1700 W, Bluffdale, UT 84065.The family asks that donations be made to Hope for The Warriors Charity in her memory in lieu of flowers. https://support.hopeforthewarriors.org/give/166840/#!/donation/checkout
