Charlene Blevins

CHARLENE BLEVINS, age 82, of Irving, Texas died Monday, December 29, 2003 at a local hospital. Born November 13, 1921 at Lewisville, Texas, she married Warren Blevins April 17, 1966 at Dallas.

She was a long-time member of the Irving Garden Club, was an artist, and former beautician. She was a member of Kirkwood United Methodist Church in Irving.

Preceded in death by a son, Glenn Steven Rodgers in 1998, and her husband, in 2001, she is survived by daughters, Linda Rodgers Witz of Sulphur Springs and Debra L. Nieman of McKinney; sons, Ronnie Blevins of the Colony and Larry W. Blevins of Arlington; a granddaughter she raised, Jane Ann Mills of Irving; 12 other grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2004 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Mark Moore will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
