Working a shift with Charlie at the Groton Town Police was always an “experience,” a fun one, a learning one.... mostly both! My thoughts and prayers go out to those he loved and loved him...and there are many.

Charlie didn’t let grass grow under his feet. He was a force of nature: generous, affectionate, and kind.
Years ago we talked several times about our family trampoline. He and his dad taught us tricks, how to spot one another, and how to use it safely. Our passion led to my parents buying one for us when we were young.
Living across from my family Charlie saw our trampoline corrode and go unused as the women in my family grew and left home. He knew he could fix it. He...
