Not sure what to say?

We have been out of town and did not know that Charlie passed away. The end of an era, on so many fronts. My respect and admiration for this man runs deep and I will carry many life lessons from him always. Particularly, I need to remember to respond when asked how I'm doing that I "never had it so good". Truly a man of great character and faith. I am a better person because Charlie set the bar high and made me want to reach it. My condolences to the Day clan.

Stan remembers working with Charlie on the Pilgrim Manor Board and we both remember many good times around the bridge table. We regret that we are not in town to express our sympathy to his family in person and to give Jean a hug.

My warmest tribute to the memory of deceased.

Fond memories from the past. I was a member of Second Cong Church along with my mother (Elizabeth) and grandmother(Ida Elson). Both my mother and her mother lived there final days out at Pilgrim Manor and Charles was such a good force in the church and the Manor. Blessings on the family.

Dear Jean and family,

We are sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. We are glad we got to visit with him at my dad's funeral last March. It was really good to see him. Charlie was a wonderful man, husband and father and we're sorry for your loss. I just had leg surgery so won't be traveling to Michigan, but our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Jean, and the rest of the Day family ... we are sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. Remembering many wonderful times on Cowden Lake with you and yours. Dean Heath and family

Great Grandpa Day and Little Charlie.

Every time I'd ask how him he was he'd say, "Couldn't be better." I'll miss visiting with my friend and neighbor. Christine Florentine
