Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear Chris is gone. I knew him many years ago, but he was was truly a wonderful person. Prayers to his family, my heart hurts for you.

Wow !!
just found out of your passing away recently and I'm sorry to here that things turned out the way they did. I was proud to have you as my goalie during the first years ever of Blacksburg soccer. I fondly remember hanging out and listening to Bob Marley back in the day before most of the other kids knew who he was. I also remember all the laughs we had together on road trips with a close nit team that had forged the way for Soccer in a small town that had none at the travel and...

Chris, as Mary and I attended Pat Carothers memorial service this past Sat., we shared memories of you and felt a renewed sense of loss. But we know that you and Pat are pain free and walking the streets of gold. God Bless you both.

Chris.. was in Blacksburg over thanksgiving and drove through your childhood neighborhood and also made a toast to you! You are still missed!

Thinking of you today, and most every day! I finally got my "flag" that you convinced me to go after, a long time ago. If not for you and your mentoring, it simply wouldn't have happened. You still inspire me to do my very best, yet to always be humble and kind.

JSD is the last remaining group left in the old building. A bit eerie at times. A memory of you washed over me out of the blue late one evening, last week. It drove me to go up to the empty and cold 12th...

Hey Bud,
Thinking of you today and always, we sure could use to hear some of that "summer thunder" around here these days. One of your brethren coming your way, look after him. Miss you.(Doggie Dud says "hey.")

Rest in peace my friend. My thoughts are with you today. We also keep your family in our thoughts and prayers every day and especially today.

Not a day goes by that I do not think of Chris as I start my work day and look at his photo. I am still so thankful for his support professionally and personally. Today, I was drawn to search for his story again, to read the notes of admiration and love, to pray for continued strength for his family, friends, and those in the USMS family that miss his humor, smile, and dedication to duty. The 12th floor just isn't the same without his laughter from around the corner.

NOT A DAY GOES BY THAT I DONT MISS YOUR LAUGH, YOUR SMILE, YOUR FRIENDSHIP, AND YOUR LOVE. I STILL HAVE ALL YOUR EMAILS THAT I PRINTED OUT THE WEEK AFTER YOU DIED. SOMETIMES WHEN I READ THEM I LAUGH, SOMETIMES I CRY, SOMETIMES I WANT TO SCREAMBUT MOSTLY THEY MAKE ME MISS YOU AND I ALWAYS WANT TO MISS YOU BECAUSE THEN YOU ARE STILL IN MY LIFEHAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS MISSING OUR CELEBRATION.
