Fr Gaffigan touched our lives in St Mary's of Glens Falls and also Holy Infancy in Lake Luzerne. He was a gentle man and touched many lives. Our prayers to his family for the loss of their loved one. May he rest in peace.

My first remembrance of Father Gaffigan was at Camp Tekakwitha on Lake Luzerne in the 1950's. He was one of the seminarians who working as Counselors to us Campers. Once while he was temporarily filling in at St. Francis of Assisi in Northville NY. I recognized him. After Mass while he was greeting parishioners and it was my turn to talk. With him I said " I went to Camp with you " He excitedly answered " Tekakwitha!! " after thaT WE Talked after many Masses. We...

As my brothers have written, we grew up with the Gaffigans and I would like to add my thoughts about Fr. Charles. Foremost is that he participated in my wedding and gave the blessing at our reception which meant a lot to my husband and me. He always stopped to visit my parents when in the neighborhood and kept in touch with my sister who has special needs, including coming to dinner at her residence. It's obvious he was a real "people person" and although we'll miss him, I'm sure...

Fr. Gaffigan taught me religion at Cardinal McCluskey high school on Elm Street in the early 60s. He was a compassionate and mild mannered man, I learned a lot from him. I know he has a front row seat in heaven. God bless you father...
