Chuck and Marion became friends through our mutual interest in showing dogs and as members of Flatirons Kennel Club. Over the years they attended many New Year's Day Champagne Brunch parties as my house and Chuck regaled us with stories of skits performed a various law-related functions. I still have photos of him sitting at the fireplace, playing his guitar.

Judge Matheson was a wonderful judge, who made sure that everyone who appeared before him was treated fairly. He was a wonderful teacher, who sponsored seminars for bankruptcy lawyers for years. My thoughts got to Chuck's family. He was a fine man who made a young man feel special when I was fortunate enough to spend time with him and his family.

Chuck was a very good friend of mine. We were fraterny brothers and roommates in the Pi Kappa Alpha house at CU Boulder. And our friendship continued all the years since then
Chuck had a great sense of humor, was very talented, was a great leader, and was always friendly and willing to help and entertain his friends, despite his busy life and career.
My wife, Judy, and I over the years have enjoyed many wonderful times together at Chuck and Marion's homes in Boulder and...
