Not sure what to say?

Please accept my condolences in the passing of Chuck. My daughter and I met Chuck while praying the rosary together before school. We still have the rosaries he gave us and will be remembering him in prayer.

"McNerney at the Board" (to the tune of the traditional Irish folk song “Brennan on the Moor”)

Written by Larry Lesser and sung on the occasion of Dr. Chuck McNerney's retirement from the Dept of Mathematical Sciences, U. of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado on April 25, 1998.

It's about a fine math teacher, his story I will tell—
His name is Chuck McNerney and in Ireland he may dwell.
With his family of seven, he began teaching here,

Please accept our deepest sympathies.

My dearest Cousin Chuck.

My dear friend Chuck, my extraordinary good friend Chuck. I miss you already and it's only days since you left, who now can I bare my soul to, share this love of our God with, never making me feel I was over the top, you were on this same spiritual path, this earthly pilgrimage, like the three kings who were making the first earthly pilgrimage to pay homage to the child Jesus in Bethlehem.
You just wanted to make it to purgatory, but you know what, I would not be at all surprised if you...

Our entire family sends our heartfelt condolences to the McNerney Family. Chuck was a very good friend of my dad, and we all got to know him through dinners at dad's house.Chuck was a great comfort to us when dad passed away. He will be missed by all of us.

It takes a special person to make every person they meet, Feel Special. That was my Uncle Chuck. I think there are a few Irishman I look forward to seeing and being with agian, day.

I will always sing your song.

Your nephew,

Uncle Chuck, You are with your brother and father now, and still will be deeply missed here on Earth. I will be forever grateful for the times we traveled together and the wonderous world you introduced me to so many years ago. Please know that the laughs and memories will never die. All My Love

Chuck was a very special person to me throughout my 5 years at N. Colorado (now I'm at UT-El Paso), inspiring me as a math educator, as an educator, as a man of faith, and as a human being. What a beautiful blend of gratitude and gusto, feistiness and faith he was, living life faithfully and fully, whether we were at a Broncos game, the Armadillo Restaurant, one of our homes, or his heartfelt correspondence from his special times in Ireland.
