Not sure what to say?

My dear friend, Tom It is interesting that this should come to my email today. I did not realize we were so near the anniversary of your death. My husband and I have talked of you several times over the last week. We were recalling how kind you were and how your caring heart was so representative of our Lord, Jesus Christ. You are not forgotten. I have so many wonderful memories. I have been recalling our cribbage games and I guess I'll just have to wait until I see you again to TRY and...

I was blessed to meet Tom when he came to my Fathers and my aid through Hospice. His kindness was overwhelming. During the last weeks of my Fathers life Tom visited several times and then he helped for the funeral. My families life was so enhanced by knowing him and the world will miss such a wonderful person. I am so sorry for your loss. Carolyn Freeman

I remember Tom growing up in Woodbridge, although he was about 3 years younger than I...I was pleasantly surprised when Tom showed up at my Mother's house as the hospice chaplain in March 3 years ago...I'm not sure who preached the best to the other: Tom or my Mother...he sure did help her in her final hours, and we planned to get together later...but I'm sorry to say "later" never came...I'm really saddened to learn of Tom's passing...he was such a great guy...my condolences to you all...

Hi Cathy,

I am sorry to learn of Tom's passing. I served with him on the 643 as his CPO of the division. Tom was always smiling and laughing which kept the morale of the nucs high. His humor and approach to tasks were exemplary. I always felt he had a destiny with that personality of his. How he is on the eternal patrol, I will always remember him and his contribution.

Cathy, I was deeply saddened to hear of Tom's death. He was an excellent Chaplain Resident in Williamsport, PA. He was a big man with a big heart. Thank you for all your kindness and support for his ministry. My blessings and prayers for you and your familiy. Rev. Ken Hayden

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I was a shipmate on the Bancroft.

Chaplain Tom was an inspiration to me in our work together at Hospice. I LOVED it when he would come in, sit down and just ask how things were going. Those twinkling eyes and cheery smile, who can forget them?? His tie collection was a topic of much conversation. His typing skills were a topic of much teasing. His hymn singing was joyful and his love of our Lord Jesus Christ always apparent. During our last prayer time together, he sang, "His Eye is on the Sparrow" along with his...
