Not sure what to say?

Fifty years later...

I am so sorry for your Loss, Diane, You and your family will be in my prayers. I wasn't aware your Mom had passed, She was a wonderful lady too! I remember the Lunches she fixed for us when we were going to E. Orrington school. My condolences at this sad time. Sincerely yours, Sharon

We are so sorry to hear of your Dad's death. It was nice that he was able to enjoy life for so long as he grew older. I'm glad he and my Mom, Inez Getchell were able to get together last summer to remember old times. Thank you Robin for that. Our thoughts are with you all as you remember your wonderful Dad.

Charlie Ring was everything a grandfather could be - both to those of us who knew him as our grandfather and to all those lives he touched throughout his life. It hurts to have him go but I know he is in the presence of Jesus now and reunited with his wife Eunice. To my wife, Charlie was the grandfather she never got to have growing up. To my one year old boy, he was simply Grampy "Woo-hoo" and a delight to the youngest of us. Charlie lived life to the fullest and exemplified the...

I am very sorry. May GOD bless.

Me and my daughter will NEVER forget this man. He was my pseudo-grandfather, and one of the only positive male role models I have ever had. We will all miss you and your contagious spirit at camp Charlie. You have touched the lives and hearts of so many people, and your memory will live on forever. May you rest in peace. Love you. XOXO

Uncle Charlie...I will never forget everything that I have learned from you. Between you and Grampy you taught my Dad almost everything that he knows about the outdoors and he passed that down to me. I will always love cribbage and I have you to thank for that. Rest in Peace Uncle Charlie, and people who knew you will never let your memory fade. I know that someday I will be telling my kids about the Great Uncle Charlie! Love you and you will be greatly missed!!

I grew up in Brewer and have fond memories of Charlie as a Sunday School teacher and leader in Christian Service Brigade. He loved the Lord Jesus, read his Bible and could communicate its teachings to we youngsters in a heartfelt, caring, and practical way. I remember him taking us on fishing trips and icefishing. He cared for people and invested his life in them. To the family, I offer my sympathy in your loss, but we can know that he is in heaven now.

My thoughts & prayers are with Charlie's family for the loss of such a great man. I will truely miss him with all of my heart. I am so greatful that our paths crossed 23 years ago, at Elsemore's Landing. He became not only a very dear friend, but also part of our family, a father figure for us, and grandfather for our son. Charlie had such a big heart, caring & kind. He certainly did live life to the fullest. He was such a huge part of Elsemore's, and always will be. The campground...

To the family: my thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Elsmore will not be the same without our "guide" on wheeling trips. We will miss his quick wit and the beauty of the campfires he always saw. We will miss hearing his stories of family and adventures he had during his life. May you rest in peace my great friend.
