Not sure what to say?

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has shared their beautiful memories and sentiments on this remembrance page. It is incredibly touching that even 5 years after his passing, my dad’s memory lives on in the people he touched along the way. Like anyone who has lost a loved one, there is so much I wish I could say to him. Most importantly, I wish he could see the profound impact he had on so many people. He was a man of deep thought and intellect, and a genuine heart who...

Mr Robert’s was my English teacher for 2 years (completely by accident).
My Freshman year I was assigned his class and in the first 5 minutes, I realized I was in Sophomore English. I was too afraid to speak up. After the first day, I was inspired. I told him after class I was not in the right room and he asked “Do you want to stay? I’ll make it happen”.
So as a Freshman, I took Sophomore English. It was the most motivating class I took. I was never much of an academic and Mr....

Mr. Robert’s was by far the most caring and loving teacher I ever had. That includes 169 credits of undergrad work and 54 masters degree credits. He would mail me homework my freshman year of college to “keep me sharp”. I would complete it and mail it back. One time while I was home from college I went to visit him at school. His class was taking an exam that day and he invited me in to sit in the front of the classroom. Then he handed me the exam and made me take it. I got an A. Haha I was...

I took Mr. Roberts' English class my freshmen year in high school and was a teaching assistant for him during my sophomore year. He had a profound impact on my education. His passion for English came through in his teaching and the amazing stories he shared with us. I learned the meaning of academic rigor because of him and his faith in my academic skills motivated me to go on to take honors English classes and AP history. I realized I wanted to be a teacher because of him and I strive to be...

Here it is 2020
and I am just finding out that Charles has passed.
I just realized several years ago that his store wasn't in business and assumed he moved.
So very sad as this man was amazing and passionate. Barely knew but will never forget.

I had no idea that he passed. He was one of my 2 favorite teachers at Rincon. I have looked for you periodically over the years with no luck till today. My heart is genuinely sad. RIP Mr Roberts.

I am shocked to hear that Charlie, as I knew him has died. We were together for two years in college. I drove across country with him to Arizona. What in the world could have taken him away so early? He helped shape the person I am today. I am glad to hear that he has a daughter. She should be so proud of him. He was a wonderful person that gave a lasting impact on everyone he met.

I just found out today about Charles' passing and I'm in shock. I worked with Jean and Charles at Enchante in the Brodie Oaks shopping center and I would stop by every couple of years to visit with Charles at his new location. I feel lucky and honored to have known him. He always treated me (an 18 year old girl) as an equal and he shared his theories on politics and current events with me, conversations and ideas that I find myself thinking back on every now and again.

Charles,...

So sad that he has passed. I had met Charles in 2001 at his shop on Lamar. He was so passionate about what he did especially the world of wet shaving. Since he moved to his new shop I had not seen him as often. I was just talking about him and wanted to share his knowledge with a friend. Upon looking up Enchante it said it was closed and the I saw Charles' obituary. He will be missed.Troy Ross
