I never had the pleasure of meeting "Charlie" although I enjoyed his articles over the years. I was Les' Barber during his High School and College days. Missed those articles and Charlie's Humor.

Sad to see you pass uncle Charles. I know you are no longer suffering. Wish I would have been able to spend more time with you.

A Tampa area treasure is gone.
Great guy who befriended and inspired younger reporters like myself in the 1970s. I'm still at it, digging away on local issues at the Pensacola News Journal on the beautiful Redneck Riviera. Thanks Charlie.
