He was a great, multi-faceted person! My wife Susan Dick Kirkpatrick knows family members. I'll mention Charlie's central efforts in the Shoreline Management Act. A HS friend and I co-chaired Wenatchee's signature gathering for the Shoreline Protection Initiative. We got 400 signatures in Dec 1970, with 4" of snow on the ground! TYVM, Charlie, for carrying it from there, and so much more!

Charlie was certainly one of a kind. One of my fondest memories was when Charlie told me about a meeting where he was negotiating water rights with a northern Washington tribe, and kept hearing someone's car honking out in the parking lot. They couldn't figure out who was honking and honking. Come to find out, Charlie kept hitting the key fob in his pocket that opened and locked his own car (honking every time).
