Not sure what to say?

As a young sports loving girl going to high school in North Carolina I had a scrapbook of Charlie. Every picture and article I found anywhere went in it. At times, very carefully I will show it to interested people.Being a Redskin season ticket holder I see his name at every home game. Not only my greatest sports hero, but North Carolina's. It will be so sad to put the final entry in my scrapbook.

My Dad, Hosea Rodgers,(#70) was a teammate of Charlie Justice from 1946-1948. They remained friends all these years and stayed in touch with each other more in the past 15 years. My Dad, brother, two sisters and myself returned to Chapel Hill in October 1993 for one of their football reunions. It was great seeing Charlie, Sarah and Ronnie. My Dad passed away in May, 2001, but I can still hear him telling football stories about UNC and Charlie Justice! What an exciting, entertaining, special...

My brother, Chris and I once had the honor of meeting the great Choo Choo in the last 1950's. We lived in G-Boro, NC and our home was up the street from his brother Neil and his family. Choo Choo played catch with us in their yard one afternoon. Little did we know that I would eventually coach football and constantly remind my single wing players of the great runner Choo Choo. My brother is a UNC-CH graduate and we both remember the great one!

I'm a Carolina Fan..and of all the people that has come and gone from Carolina, he has been my favorite player because of his charisma. He will be greatly missed..but not ever forgotten.

My deepest sympathies to the Justice family. Mr. Justice was in my estimation the finest player to grace the turf at Kenan Stadium. Even during the years I attended UNC (1970-1974), the memory of Choo-Choo was still very strong. He will be missed dearly by all Tar Heels!

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Justice family and the Crews family.I am a Cherryville native and have always been so proud that this talented "Southern Gentleman"chose to make my home town his home.I met him once and it was one of my life's greatest honors. My prayers are with you.

"Choo Choo",you have been in my thoughts for years. I had always asked "Sonny" Harrelson about you.
"Pop"Savarese spoke very highly of you, and your many talents. Blessings to your family as they celebrate your life.It was a pleasure and a privilege knowing you.Peace be with you, and with those you leave behind.

How could anyone ever forget the great Charlie Choo Choo Justice. I can remember him when I was in the first grade at Central School in Roxboro, NC in 1949. He was my first hero in the world of sports. He is truly a legend in our time.

Remembering Charlie of long ago in Naval bootcamp and serving in barracks 3308 with him. Many pleasant memories of Charlie. Also a great admirer in following his successes on the football field. Best Wishes. Dick Wooten
