One of my earliest memories was feeling honoured by sitting next to Aunt Chrissie at one of our family meals 70 years ago. I remeber shore wore a black cocktail dress with a single strand of white pearls and even as a five year old I was captivated! Our Grandmother had served fresh oysters, presumably brought up from Reedville, and Aunt Chrissie taught me how to eat them. She said I should swallow them whole without chewing. A mistake!
