Walking the Halls, SBA Alumni & family. 6/1/13

Erie and Erie County, never mind the world, have lost a wonderful person. OSB community, you have my deepest sympathy that you lost a sister. Elaine and Joan and family, my heart goes out to you. I lost my oldest brother to cancer December, 2012. It's difficult. Prayers are with you all!

How comforting to know God is welcoming her home

Family, friends and OSB Community - my sincere sympathy for the loss of a great friend, family member, leader. As a young, naive high school student, I failed to grasp the accomplishments and background of this woman I only knew as our principle. I have observed her work and success over these many years. She lived her beliefs every day, by example, and helped move all women into the 21st century. Such a loss to our community.

Chris was a very special person and a dear friend. I loved her dearly and respected her tremendously. Truly a shining light has gone out in our world. I send my love and sympathy to all her sisters in her community and to all her family. With compassion...Carol J. Dempsey, OP

To family and friends.... Please accept my deepest sympathies in the passing of an exceptional woman, role model, and leader. Sister Christine lead by example in life. She embraced it and experienced it. She taught me Spanish at SBA, I remember how we would nearly shake at the sound of her heels coming down the hall....and what beautiful heels they always were!! RIP Hermana Christina.

"Sr. Chris" was one of my favorite teachers. She taught Spanish at Mercyhurst College in the 1970s. She had a wonderful enthusiasm for the Spanish language and culture which she passed on to all of her students. It was a joy to attend her classes and travel to Mexico with her. I followed her career through the years since then, and was interested but not surprised to see all that she accomplished in the service of others. Although she has gone to her well-earned reward, she will be...

Elaine and Joan I am sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person.
