I just heard about this sad news. I want to express my deepest condolences. I went to high school with Chris. I remember sitting next to him in grade 9 keyboarding class and he always had such an amazing sense of humour. He was such witty and intelligent person. I am so sorry for your loss.

Me and Chris were really close growing up... Went to school together, rode the bus and had sleepovers. Vaguely remember starting a band with him too... I just found out. Deepest condolences to his family. Surreal.

I've written a poem that I hope will be a source of hope
and encouragement to each one who is saddened by the
loss of Christopher. He sure meant a lot to me!
ONLY FOR A WHILE
We said good-bye to Christopher,
But only for a while;
When God unlatches heaven's gate,
We'll meet him with a smile.
The legacy he leaves for us,
Will never pass away;
For time cannot erase the love,
He offered day by day.
A faithful servant joins the King,
Receiving heaven's best;
Forever free from earthly woes,
Our Lord will give him rest.
Today we feel the pain of loss,
But only for a while;
For God will turn our tears to joy,
And bless us with a smile.

It is with great sadness that my son John extend sympathies to your family. We only heard about Chris' death after the funeral yesterday. Please believe, we would have been there if we had known.
I will always remember Chris' bright, inquisitive mind, the glint of laughter in his eyes and the respect and manners he displayed. He was always a pleasure to have him as a house guest.
The last time I saw Chris was about 2 years past. He had heard my husband passed and he came to the Funeral Home. Unlike many others, he instinctively knew how to handle it. Chris found me in the crowd, sympathized and moved on, realizing there was little time to chit chat, with a line up forming behind him. He talked for a while with my son, John, found a couch and sat there quietly contemplating. At the end, he came over to say farewell and left. In my head I was thinking what a remarkable young man he was. This will be in my memory book forever. I trust it will bring you some comfort, to hear of his empathy for others.
Please believe you are in our thoughts and prayers and will remain there, going forward.
