Christopher Eugene Hoefling

Christopher Eugene Hoefling, 20, of Evansville passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017. He was born October 29, 1997, in Evansville, IN, to Gene and the late Melinda (Moye) Hoefling.

Chris graduated from Memorial High School in 2016 where he played football for three years. He received his Building Trade Apprenticeship and worked in landscaping and construction. Chris enjoyed working out, golf and was very handy. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

He is survived by his father, Gene Hoefling of Evansville, IN; sisters, Amanda Hoefling of St. Louis, MO and Elizabeth Hoefling of Evansville, IN; grandmothers, Carolyn Hoefling of Evansville, IN and Catharyne Moye of Evansville, IN.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Melinda Hoefling; grandfathers, Fred Hoefling and Yuell Moye.

Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, a memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 12:30-1:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S Green River Rd, Evansville, IN 47715 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Reitz Memorial High School, 1500 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714.

He was a really sweet boy. It seems impossible that this happend to him. He will always be remembered by those who knew him. God bless your family. I know he is with his sweet mother now and waits with all of us for the second coming of our Lord. Peace to you all.

Chris was a very very good friend of mine always there for me no matter what he is a friend that can never be replaced I miss him so much I don't know how I'll ever get over loosing my best friend he was so sweet and so funny I know that he is with his mother now which brings some price of mind I'll miss his beautiful smile I'll have him my heart forever I pray for his family and friends Chris I'll miss Ya n love you always...
