Christopher Thomas Newbill gained his wings and met his heavenly father on Monday, February 14, 2022.  Christopher was born on October 20, 1966 in Roanoke to the late Henry Newbill and Linda Sue Logan Newbill.  He is also preceded in death by his stepfather, Russell Wiley and a special cousin, Audrey Patterson. 
 
Chris was a member of Central Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board.  He attended Roanoke City Schools and was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School.  Chris' employers were First Call Environmental Services.  LAS Construction Company and Keaton Electrical.  While battling cancer he continued his training and received his CDL License.  Chris enjoyed fishing, vacations to the beach, his cars, music and hanging out with his buddies.  
 
Thos left to cherish his memories are his soul mate, Sallye West, brothers; Richard Newbill and Taron Wiley both of Roanoke, Germaine Tyree of Rocky Mt. VA,  sisters:  Cynthia (Tony) Fountain, Locresha (Stepten) Goodman, and Angela Wiley all of Roanoke, aunts, Mary Frances Goode, and Vivian Johnson, both of Roanoke, Mary Sue (Willie) Leftwich, Rocky Mt., VA, uncles, David Newbill, Rocky Mt.,VA, Robert (Pam) Logan and Nathanial Logan both of Philadelphia, and Jesse Wright, nieces, nephews relative and friends. He will also be missed by his companion Jasper.  
 
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 25, 2022, 2:30PM at Central Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.  Interment will be in Williams Memorial Park.  Friends may call at Serenity on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 2PM-5PM for viewing.  Special thanks is extended to Blue Ridge Cancer Care, Central Baptist Church and Carilion Hospice for being with us on this journey.
