In New Haven, April 27, 2003, Christopher Paul Walsh, 37, of Edwards St., New Haven. He grew up on Bliss Ave., Hamden, attended Hamden High School and graduated from Branford High School. Chris was a fine athlete - excelling in soccer and baseball and was also and avid and knowledgeable hockey fan and was a two time semi-finalist in the annual Pass-Punt & Kick contest in New Haven Area. Chris was a skilled woodworker and applies his talents at East Haven Building Supply and Brockway & Smith Co. in Cocksackie, NY. Most importantely, Chris was a thoughtful, caring and well-liked person. Chris was predeceased by his mother, Jane Berry Walsh in 1978 and his father Coleman William Walsh, Sr. in 2001. He leaves behind his brother, William Richard and his wife Diane DesBois of Barre Town, VT; his brother, Coleman William, Jr. and his wife, Donna and their children, Jane and Coleman III of West Haven; his brother, Timothy John and his wife Donna of Branford; Timothy's son, Eli Baumgartner of Meriden; his sister Norah Jane and her partner Lori Sherman of East Hampton and his stepmother, Ruth Murdoch Walsh of Branford. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Rita Church.
