Clark "Eddie" Shoemaker Jr.

Clark Edward "Eddie" Shoemaker Jr., 17, of Spencer, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015. He was born May 30, 1997 to Clark Edward Sr. and Linda (Stearley) Shoemaker. He attended Owen Valley High School and was part of the JROTC program, 4- H Fishing Team, and the Special Olympics. He enjoyed working with the elderly and helping others. He loved playing basketball, video games, and animals. Eddie is survived by his parents; his siblings, Amy Shoemaker of Spencer, Donnie Hassler (Alyson) of Tennessee, April Arthur (James) of Coal City, and Antoinette Hassler of Greencastle; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Preston and Jeremiah Hassler, and his grandparents, Clark and Charlotte Shoemaker and Don and Elizabeth Stearley. He passed away with his nephew Dominic Arthur. Funeral services will be held, 1pm, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Lighthouse Tabernacle in Gosport. Pastor Jay Temples will officiate. Friends may call from 9am until the time of the service at the church. Graveside service will be held at 3pm at Brick Chapel Cemetery in Putnam County.
