WILSON, Clifton Douglas "Doug"

Clifton Douglas Wilson "Doug" of Roswell, GA, passed away July 1, 2025. He was born August 19, 1944, in Charleston, South Carolina, but spent the vast majority of his life around the Atlanta area (Decatur, Lithonia, Belvedere, Tucker, Lilburn and then Roswell).

Doug is survived by his wife, Carolynn Wilson; his son, Todd Wilson and his wife, Jessica, and their daughter, Tuesday, and their sons, Chance, Barry and Grant; his daughter, Tonya Wilson; as well as his stepson, Ryan Boyer, and sons, Sean and Evan; his sister, Carol Dobbs, and her husband, Gary.

Doug attended Avondale High School and then Georgia State University, where he received his BBA and MBA. Doug served in the Army and was in Vietnam during 1969. After leaving the service, he joined Southern Company where he worked for forty enjoyable years for both Georgia Power Company and Southern Company Services, holding various positions in the Finance, Budgeting and Accounting areas. Doug retired from Southern Company in 2010, and loved every minute of retirement and spending time with Carolynn.

A viewing will be held on July 6, 2025, at Roswell Funeral Home, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on July 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of Roswell Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or to a local Hospice.
