Not sure what to say?

The last time I met with Doc he was as gracious as ever. He had created a list of tough questions about the Bible and God for which he was seeking answers. He asked me several to see if I was up to scratch in my knowledge of the Bible and God and still worthy of his investment in my ministry. All his questions were hard and I answered the best I could. But apparently some of my answers were not good enough for Doc ... he said, "I think that is a bit of a fudge" or words to that effect. To be...

Doc Swalwell was very kind to me as a young intern in 1995 at a Dallas, TX high-end antique reproduction showroom off Turtle Creek Blvd. He walked in one day and left me with some incredible antique weaponry from the trunk of his pearl Cadillac such as blunderbuss pistols and swords that had filigree and were gorgeous in every detail. He was very engaging and told me about his father, his family, and how I should not give up on my dreams nor ever believe that anyone was my superior regardless...

We loved playing golf with Doc at DCC.Great sense of humor and alot of fun. Will be missed by all. Condolences to the family.

Doc Swalwell is an extraordinary man, now in the presence of the Lord. I met Doc in 1971 raising support for Christian ministry. He affirmed his faith in the work and gave me a check for $1,200. I had never ever held that much money in my hand only having recently finished college. I began to shake of nervousness and couldn't speak. He noticed my discomfort and asked me if it was enough. It took for what seemed an eternity for the word, "Yes." to come out of my mouth. I left his office and...

Sad news to hear. He was a wonderful person. I met "Doc" 28 yrs ago when I started working for the SOUTHWEST MOTOR CLUB. And I believe I last saw him @ AAA earlier this year. He was always a joy. His friends from SOUTHWEST MOTOR CLUB will miss him. Our prayers are with you.

Our thoughts and pryers go out to the Swalwell family. Doc was one of the finest people I ever knew, a true believer in Christ.

Joan, Emerson, and E.V., the world is all the poorer, and Heaven the richer, for Doc's passing. He was the among last of that generation of gentlemen who understood noblesse oblige, and was a good friend and mentor to many, and I was truly blessed having known him. May God continue to Bless you all, Jim Jake Templin and Family

I am so greived to hear of Doc's passing. He got me involved in Young Life 42 years ago. I was very young at the time, and he was such an encourager.

I greive with you for your loss.

Joan, EV and Emerson - We have so many fond memories of Doc. He was very much loved. Our deepest sympathy for your loss -
