Not sure what to say?

Dear Donaldson Family, We were so sorry to read about Mr. Donaldson. He was such a nice man and it was an honor to have known him. Reading his obituary was a lesson in aeronautics. Our thoughts and prayer are with you.

This morning I walked on the beach, and looking out at the horizon – where water meets sky – my thoughts turned to Dr. Coleman duPont Donaldson and his family and friends who would be saying goodbye today.

It was a privilege to know him and to be a part of the lovely family he leaves behind. More than anything, gratitude swept over me – gratitude for how he bettered our country through his service and efforts in aero dynamics and the space program; gratitude for his and his...

Barbara,Willy,Patty, and Family,

What a brilliant and kind man (yes,a true gentleman). I loved our conversations in the office, about many diverse topics. I just wish I would have known him longer. I will never forget his bright eyes, his great wit and personality, and his wonderful smile! My thoughts and prayers are with you and the whole Donaldson Family.

I was very sad to hear of Mr. Donaldson's passing. I got to know him in the 4 years I worked at the Chesapeake. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

Dear family:
I offer my deep condolences with you. May the Almighty God sustain you under his watchful care.

Coe Donaldson - Friend, Mentor, Major National Security Resource for Decades and a true gentleman. Responsible for many aspects of the current Aerospace Capability of the Nation. One of the most Clear Thinking and Physics Based folks I have ever interacted with - he was both Brilliant and exceedingly Creative. To the obit should be added his critical contributions to composite armor, for which he received major awards. His passing weakens the intellectual capability of the nation.

I remembered that you father lived in Va and looked up his obituary mainly because I loved that space program. I would pretend I was sick and stay home from school to watch the early and later coverage on TV. I have pictures of Jenny in her highchair watching coverage of the moon landing. Watching the coverage again recently gave me chills.
He certainly was accomplished and I am proud of what he did for the space program.
Please let us know when you are on the mountain. Mary Ann
