I have many fond memories of Win when he and my late husband, Phil Farris, USMA'46, served on the West Point Society of DC Board of Governors in the 1990s. He and Bill DeGraf, Society Treasurer, often gathered at our house in Vienna to discuss upcoming events. Win was a true officer and gentleman, always personable, devoted to USMA, and active in all WPSDC activities for many years. Win was a great Member of the National Archives Volunteer Assn. serving a number of years as President, He was a friend to all. Quiet, efficient with a great amount of initiative, he went about his way not looking for accolades but getting the job done. Win was loyal to his alma mater, West Point, serving it in so many ways.
