Connie Valene Doty
Feb. 9, 1966 - Sept. 11, 2020

OKLAHOMA CITY
Connie graduated Bethany High School in 1984. She was a national honor student and won All-State in track in the 2-mile relay in 1982. She won the best essay in 1984 in the Miss Indian Oklahoma pageant. She attended C.S.U. and O.C.U. as an honor student. Connie worked and modeled fashion at the Mouse Trap and other retailers when she was younger. She published small articles in Woman's World magazine and others. Her motto was, "She lived to give." She worked at Walnut Gardens and Merson Law Office for many, many years cleaning. It gave her the quiet time for writing ideas. It was her great passion. She learned later in life how much fun it was to create new recipes. It was another way to express her creative talent. She loved to decorate and had a great passion for flowers and plants. She loved encouraging others through cards, gifts, and long phone calls. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends, especially her smart, beautiful, only child, Destiny. She loved God with all her heart and probably owned almost every Joel Osteen DVD. She wanted to volunteer for his ministry. Services will be Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, OK, with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
