Not sure what to say?

Dr Beattie saved my right eye in 1978 when he tried his new procedure on me. It was a success. I didn´t lose my eye! He will forever be respected and loved by many. Thank you Craig, I am reminded of you everyday as I look through my right eye.

My late mother and I were patients of Dr Beattie, whom we greatly missed when he retired. He was extremely personable and had a gentle, caring nature. My condolences to his family.

We remember you, thus, you're not gone. Naria

My condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of serving on the Fraser Patient Quality Review Panel with Dr. Beattie. He was kind, patient, and funny, and I enjoyed working with and learning from him. He will be greatly missed by many.

Craig was a favourite teacher and mentor of mine during ophthalmology training. I probably nominated him for one of those 'teacher of the year' awards. He was a driving force in the start up and running of our 'group of seven' (doctors) laser eye centre (Exximer Vision). Craig had a great sense of humour.

I only met Craig a few times but know his wife Amyra. I'm so sad that their new adventure together on the island was cut short. My heart goes out to Amyra and the rest of Craig's family. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I had the great pleasure of working for Dr. Beattie for 10 years in his ophthalmology practice until he retired. He was a true gentleman and exemplary physician. His humor and sharp with were second to none. I was very happy he surprised me at my retirement lunch last August. He will be missed by many. Deepest condolences to Amyra and his family and loved ones.

My deepest condolences. Dr Beattie had been my opthalmologist since i was 6 years old. He always made me feel comfortable & explained with great detail. He will be missed.

Craig's generosity and compassion was evident from the first time I met him. He assisted MPA Society, a mental health agency in Vancouver, with several Annual General Meetings and was a unifying voice and a great assistance to our agency. He will be missed and his efforts remembered.
