Curtis John Larson
Larson, Curtis John 88, passed away on July 24, 2008 at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay, MN. He was born in Minneapolis to John and Victoria Larson on February 18, 1920. He attended West High School and later joined the CCC's where he worked building roads in Bremer Washington. During the war he served aboard LST 266 and was active in that ship's reunions later in life. Curt worked as an electrician for EM Mfg. Co. in Mpls. for 45 years until retirement. He joined and served many groups and organizations, and was most proud of being a member of the Lions Club during his years living in Brooklyn Center. Curt and wife Doris spent their retirement years living on Maple Lake near Longville MN, and wintering in Green Valley, Arizona. Curtis is survived by his son Bruce, Decorah Iowa; daughter Louise (Stephen) Wisness, Two Harbors, MN; and grandchildren, Sarah, Michael and Benjamin Wisness. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris; and brother Donald (Bernice) Larson. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Mpls.
