Curtis was my buddy. We could make anyone laugh.
Recently, I gave my 4th grade students an assignment. The assignment had to include a news article. I was stunned when I saw an obituary for Curtis. I had to sit down...

Dear Carlotta,
Loveth and I are sad about Curt's passing. Although just meeting him once, his Love for his children and warm heart was apparent. We wish Peace to all his friends, family and loved ones.

Curtis & Family
I was very sorry to hear about your son. I have known him since he was a small child. I know your heart is broken but with the Love of God may you have peace and comfort during this sad time.

I will keep this family in my prayers, Curtis was a few years older than me, but he was well known by everyone who attend Ribault High while he was there. May GOD be with this Family.
