Dana Hayward

Went to school with Dana at Our Lady Of Malibu. Enjoyed being friends with him.

Dear Dana; I wish I could have met you. Your mother June Hanson Hayward was my mom's first cousin. I wish I could have known her as well. There was a secret veil wrapped around you and she. I knew your grandmother Vica Evans and we knew about you and your family. You were Less than a year younger than my brother who loves sailing. I am an artist, and I am sure we could have had do much to say to each other. Rest in peace dear Dana. I will see you in the after life.

I remember the job working with Dana on the Seacliff Pier. With his help and knowledge of building techniques we accomplished in one weekend of replacing appx 2200 linear feet of 4x12 green plate Doug fir decking. The crew so large it was ,organized by Dana and the friends Seacliff Area. Ffirst removed as we worked from the ramp toward the ship apps 60-70% of the decking timber. A chore State PArks could not have done alone. I was the Supervisor of the tsk that weekend and cried several...
