Not sure what to say?

A fine officer and friend who will be missed by so many.

My late husband and I knew Dan from the University of Albany when we were all working toward graduate degrees.
Although we had lost touch through the years, we did see each other at some point when Dan visited our house in Penfield. We had some VERY found memories of those graduate student days. It is sad that both these compassionate men have passed away.

Dan was a kind, honest man who was filled with knowledge and common sense. I worked with him at the Health Association (Daybreak ATF), and through Dan, met Ellen. Sorry for your loss, Ellen.

Dan Burrell at our celebration party at the Spring House and Janet Empey, his secretary, quite proud of his accomplishment.

Dan with his degree

Dan, the rehab man cake

Celebration at Spring House for Dan's Ph. D.

So sad to see that Dan has passed. I worked with Dan for many years at the NYS Office of Vocational Rehabilitation where he was a vocational rehabilitation counselor. During that time, he earned his doctorate in rehabilitation counseling. Dan was the sweetest, most kind and gentle person. And he had the most wonderful sense of humor. I loved listening to his laugh. Dan was an excellent counselor and he really cared about his clients' well being. It was a pleasure to work with Dan. ...

I worked for Dan at the Health Assoc. EAP. He was always very good to me. I thought he was a good man. My sincere sympathies to his loved ones.
