Spinelli - Ricciuti Funeral Home - Ansonia Obituary

SEYMOUR: It is with extreme sadness that the family of Daniel Fry announce his passing on July 8, 2022, age 50, at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was the loving and devoted husband of Michelle Richwein Fry and adoring father of Delaney and Madison Fry.

Dan was born in Woodstock England, son of Maureen “Jill” Fry Griffin of England and the late Paul Fry.  He moved to the United States at age 9 and grew up in East Haven. A resident of Seymour for nineteen years, he was the owner and operator of Ansonia Auto Park in Ansonia since 2005. Dan met his beloved wife Michelle in 1999 and together they raised two beautiful daughters who were his world. In October of this year, Dan and Michelle would have celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary. Dan loved traveling with his family to England and Disney and was especially happy taking their annual summer trips to Lake George and New York City during the Christmas season. Dan was a “big kid” at heart and could always be found surrounded by children at a party or picnic engaging them in activities and some mischief. He had a kind and generous spirit and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife Michelle and daughters Delaney and Madison, Dan leaves to cherish his memory, a brother, Matt Fry (Nina) of England, mother-in-law, Denise Stromp of Derby, father-in-law, Robert Richwein (Jackie) of Ashland, MA, brothers-in-law, Mike and Scott Richwein of MA, along with many loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Glenn Fry and his best canine buddy, Marley.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Saturday July 16, 2022 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62, Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 12:00 pm, a funeral service in celebration of Dan’s life will take place with Reverend Jeffery Gubbiotti officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, 117 Mountain Road in Seymour. Contributions can be made to Dan’s daughters education funds. Please make checks payable to Michelle Fry. I had the pleasure of meeting Dan & Michelle a very short time before they were to be married. A fun upbeat couple. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.
