Thank you June, for extending Dan's Guest Book....

Thank you Janice and to all of Dan's friends and colleagues for your kind words and prayers......Our Brother was a very special and compassionate man.

In the years Dan dedicated to Animal Humane, he found forever homes for a record-breaking 1,500 pets! His commitment & compassion changed the lives of so many pets. I am certain he is now surrounded by many of them in heaven. He was a pleasure to work with and thanks to him and his teachings I became active in animal rescue and adoptions.

Rest in peace.

I remember all the dogs that Dan adopted while working at Animal Humane. They were always the older less adoptable dogs that others would pass by. I think Dan would be pleased that a donation has been made in his memory to Kindred Spirits, a sanctuary and hospice in Santa Fe for old dogs.

Enjoyed our Wednesday mornings together in Admissions at Animal Humane. Loved our conversations about books, history, politics, animals and work ethic. To my fellow Easterner, you will be missed. Joan B

I so enjoyed working with Dan at the Montgomery AH location. We had many conversations about family, friends and animals. He was a kind soul.

Dan would sit in a kennel with an anxious, frightened dog offering his calm, soothing reassurance. I watched him do this for 10 years and the benefit to these dogs was immeasurable. I will miss our chats. My sympathies to your family.

Dan, you were an angel for so many shy and fearful dogs. I wish I could thank you again for also being one for the shy, fearful girl that needed a friend and mentor and found one in you. I hope you've found your peace. You will be so greatly missed.
