Daniel Palmer, 92, of Bangor, PA passed away Monday, January 15th, at his residence.
Daniel was born in Roseto, PA on July 18, 1931, a son of the late Philip and Mary (Cascaoli) Palmer. He was the husband of Elayne M. (Babcock) Palmer. Together, they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this coming February 8th.
Daniel was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Operatoring Engineers Local 542 in Philadelphia, until retiring. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Daniel was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Roseto, PA. He was a member of the Father DeNisco Council #3862 Knights of Columbus in Bangor, a member of the Pocono Ridge Runner Snowmobile Club, and a founding member of the Washington Twp. Vol. Fire Co. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, and playing cards.
Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Danielle Marie Palmer. he is survived by three daughters, Marie Raisner, wife of Craig, Nicole A. Hossler, wife of Mike, and Bernadette T. Kooi, a son, Philip M. Palmer, three grandsons, Blaize and Palmer Raisner, and Daniel E. Palmer, and three step-grandchildren Emerson, Elliot, and Oliver Hossler. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Pecuch, Consella, and Grace Palmer, and three brothers, Michael, Louis, and Leonard Palmer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, January 20th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at the corner of Third and Garibaldi Avenues in Roseto, PA. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9 - 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 20th at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA. Burial will be held at the New Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Roseto, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Central PA, 900 S Arlington Ave #134a, Harrisburg, PA 17109, or to the charity of one's choice.
